Stocha, the capital of Delasys, and by extension, the effective capital of the Brotherhood of Raiskus. Stocha began as a battered group of refugee Sith led by Dark Lord Ocellous Morek in the northern Rohvan Mountains into a thriving settlement of over 8 million inhabitants. Despite its high altitude and latitude, Stocha has warm, wet, and humid summers and cold, bitter winters.

While most of the citizens of Stocha live in massive underground chasms that range 300 square kilometers, numerous sections of the city are above ground for trade and protection. Arguably, the most famous of these are the Cliffs of Raiskus, (formerly the Bloodstained Cliffs) which hosts the College of the Dragonslayers, and is a thriving spaceport where hundreds of millions of credits are traded each day.

College of the Dragonslayers

The College of the Dragonslayers is a well protected and historic location on Delasys. Built during the reign of Ocellous Morek, the College of the Dragonslayers serves as Delasys's most famous Sith Temple, as generation after generation of Sith come here to train for battle. The rest of the Skald's Academy is built in the underground sections of Stocha.

The main hall of the College serves as a commons and a lecture hall. With less than twenty prospective Dragonslayers selected each year for training, the hall is spacious enough to host all of its students at once, and even then some. During classes or moots, Delassian Mead or Whiskey is usually consumed.

Paramount to Delassian Culture is the respect and worship of the dead. Graves of long-past Sith are prominent among the academy, and it's not unusual for objects to move on their own, or even for spirits to manifest to teach (or torment) members of the academy.

A famous dueling arena is located underneath the main chamber of the College. In the old days, many prospective Dragonslayers died among the arena, but, in modern times, the rules of the 'Blood Circle' are strictly enforced. Intentional slaughter of one another is forbidden.

The ancient 'Dragon Throne' is built upon the second level of the College, where the Sith Kings of Delasys once ruled the world. Now, the official throne is located at Castle Morek.

Commerce, Leisure, and other Points of Interest at Stocha

Though not as economically prominent as the flying City of Delasys or as progressive as the City of Sarens, Stocha remains an important cornerstone in the Delassian economy. A Bank of the Empire stands in the middle of the Cliffs of Raiskus, and serves as an important location for local and galactic transactions.

During the cold winter months of Stocha, bathing in the warm waters of the local spa & sauna are a popular activity for the residents.

As one of the few economic and intellectual freeports of the Sith Empire, free trade is the lifeblood of Delasys. Though megacorporations like Delasys Stardrive and Infinity Arms largely control the global economy, most Delassians practice some sort of trade. A massive open air market serves as one of the many places where items can be bought or sold on Delasys.

A piece of 'repulsorart' created by Ravenna Koresta sits upon a bridge leading to the College of the Dragonslayers, honoring the ingenuity of Delasys's avionic and astronautic industries.

A military graveyard lies on the eastern edge of the Cliffs of Raiskus, honoring the sacrifices made by Delassian soldiers for the Sith Empire. Among the graves are the recently departed Moff Korder Merdin and First General Sydrin Mar.

Lake Raiskus is another amenity located in the eastern part of the Cliffs of Raiskus. During the winter months, it freezes over--where it becomes a popular ice-skating venue. A stone path leads into the 'Dragon Tunnels', where the ancient Sith of Delasys prepared their attacks against the hostile, flying, firebreathing fauna native to the planet.

More tombs and shrines can be found in the depths of the Dragon Tunnels. Like the College, it's not uncommon for ancient spirits to wander the tunnels. While it's feasible to walk through Stocha, most prefer to take modern transportation to the deeper parts of the city.
