We're trying to figure out what the userbase wants from us
The number for Sinclair's stylist. The guy looks SHARP!
Seriously though, at this point I sincerely hope that the people voting yes aren't under the impression that they "aren't being treated like adults" or voting because they believe they are "pestering the mods" if the ask for a post to be deleted. You are being treated like adults and you wouldn't be pestering anyone. And those who are opposed to deletion shouldn't be talking about "accountability" and at the worst, hostility. That's both counterproductive and dangerous.
This is an "issue" (I use that word hesitantly, is this really that big of a deal? How many of you actually noticed we couldn't delete posts until someone brought it up?) of convenience, and whether or not it might be nice to delete unwanted posts without having to ask a moderator. There are many many many forums that allow people to delete their own posts, and those forums are still alive.
Most importantly, you guys shouldn't be using this thread as a way to indirectly criticize the moderators who do nothing but love us.
“We have only one story. All novels, all poetry, are built on the never-ending contest in ourselves of good and evil. And it occurs to me that evil must constantly respawn, while good, while virtue, is immortal. Vice has always a new fresh young face, while virtue is venerable as nothing else in the world is." -- John Steinbeck, East of Eden
