We'ree still as active as ever! We've planned our 8th major story arc to take advantage of the Expansion storyline and we're also delving into more PVE and PVP content, though we're still a heavy RP guild.

We changed our name from Resurgence to Imperial Resurgence to make it more unique and to more accurately represent that we're an Imperial loyalist guild!

Sanaras Vault Control 199-X Event

KFlJS1gg.jpg

The Lord Archivist briefed the assembled team, ready for his goal of Sanaras Domination. He had been planning this incursion for a long time, requisitioning a Gage-class transport, the Triumph. Marines would secure the location, allowing for the Strike Team to take the object: a Control Station, holding vast information concerning the Rakatan vaults of Sanaras.

To Obeu'dan's surprise, Darth Malice and Sentinus joined the team. Under their command was the Wraith, Lord Nyarran and her apprentice Zareh, the shamed acolyte Cirn, the Lord Inquisitor Savannt, the fresh Korriban graduate Haremi, the mercenary Kyasma. Chief Petty Officer Kav'len would join them as a combat medic, healing to bind their wounds.

The team assembled to board the Triumph, preparing themselves for the flight and battle. Nyarran conversed with a Rakatan spirit from the planet to learn more of their objective; Namely, the heavy defenses and hordes of Rakata kept in stasis.

Before beginning the assault, they conversed with the CO of Amber Squad, Sergeant Kurn. They learned of a barrier that restraining blaster fire into the temple. Darth Sentinus left them to keep the plateau secure whilst the team advanced into the temple. Meanwhile, Lord Nyarran was assigned to command Zareh, Haremi, and Kyasma on the left flank. Lord Savannt commanded Cirn and Taradyn for the right flank. Darth Malice and herself would act as they saw appropriate, commanding the entry.

Haremi was sent into the barrier, and this allowed the group to see that it was a sparse net. While it slowed or stopped energy from entering, such as blast bolts or lightning, she entered without immediate harm. That is, until a Rakatan warrior sprung at her from the shadows. Nyarran's team advanced to support her position quickly, while Savannt's team advanced further on the other side. The battle began in earnest, the Rakata rushing from the shadows whilst the large statues rained lightning down upon them.

Darth Malice spread her mind forward, feeling through the facility. She was the first to truly realize that the statues were controlled by holocrons at their base. The group advanced, tearing through the unending waves of rRakata while the Sorcerers destroyed the controlling 'crons. At one point, Lord Nyarran cast 'Force Destruction', the blast intended to tear through the massive horde. Instead, the statues absorbed the energy. Only two were able to unleash the advanced blast, as holocron after holocron fell to the onslaught.

As more Rakata poured into the room, Darth Malice and Lord Nyarran realized they must destroy their entrance. As they fought to tear the stone hall down, Sentinus commanded the destruction of the statues themselves, so that they could not be repaired. Turmoil continued, as many fell to the rakata; it began with Kyasma, struck by lightning. He was followed by Cirn, a flanking rakata's blade plunged through her body. Haremi collapsed to a combination of the two, the damage finally tearing through her resolve.

When Taradyn threw a statue against the far wall, they found that displacement cause an unfortunate explosion. After sealing off reinforcements, Darth Malice use this to her advantage, bringing another statue down upon the remaining warriors. While the blast also tore into her allies and herself, only two dazed warriors remained. They were quickly dispatched, allowing for marines to enter and apply demolition charges to the remaining statues. At Lord Nyarran's suggestion, one was left alone for future study.

Onaujeq.jpg

After leaving the structure, the charges were detonated. The standing forces conferred with the marines, beginning an evac to avoid hostile wildlife. Rough plans were laid for a return visit in the future; for now, it was a success for the Order. Despite being beaten down, they rose as Sith and battled beyond their limitations. Their forces pulled away from the planet, returning to the IDN Resurgence and the Yavin system.

As Taradyn moved to the shuttles, a small beetle climbed on her back. It would have been humorous to see the pale woman swung around to remove it, if only a soul had been looking at her. A marine was beset to remove it, granting relief to the Scion.

We're still recruiting! We had an influx of agents but can always take more, as well as medics and soldiers. We'll still take Sith as well.

We finished an epic finale to Campaign 7 last night! 19 were in attendance, but we used 2 Event Coordinators to keep things moving.
Montevor (Seventh Event [Finale], Campaign 7)

The Ninth Fleet had been in hyperspace for a couple of hours. Senior Chief Petty Officer Kav'len Khatib had announced that all marines man their battlestations on boarding or repel teams, and a general call had gone out for the Vanguard and supporting elements prepare as a possible boarding team. The fleet had located Republic Admiral Rallin Montevor and was going to wage war with his fleet. Many had additional, personal reasons for going after the former Imperial watcher-turned-traitor. His commandos had almost killed Darth Valias—then Lord Stakra—and her apprentice on Tatooine many months ago. His fleet had ambushed and killed many Sith traveling in personal shuttles including Skylarke's master, Lord Malvious. Undermoff Lysander Schack and Senior Chief Khatib felt the Imperial losses the Ninth fFleet had suffered worse than anyone.

Briefing
A briefing was called and attended by Darths Malice and Valias as well as a large contingent of Sith, agents, and soldiers. Kav'len briefed the situation. The traitor moff they had captured, Moff Ghast, had revealed the location of Montevor's fleet at Drezzi in the Esstran Sector, hiding under the noses of the Sith. The planet had been known in the past for a dissident presence within the Empire that had been thought to be cleansed. The size of Montevor's fleet was not known but would number multiple Valor-class heavy cruisers and Thranta-class frigate escorts. His fleet was believed to be limited in size because the Senate did not fully trust him and his resources were limited to what Saresh's people were able to arrange.

The general plan would be to engage his fleet aggressively and close for boarding. Boarding pods would first launch carrying marines to assault the enemy flagship. The Vanguard would follow in shuttles. Questions were asked, and both darths reiterated the importance of this mission before the Vanguard departed for the hangar to prepare.

Naval Battle
Once the Ninth Fleet arrived in system, the opposing fleet was spotted and both maneuvered into lines of battle. The Resurgence and Defiance hung back, allowing the destroyers and frigates to engage. On the opposing side, their two Valors and one Interdictor—a ship used by both the Republic and Revan's resurgent Sith Empire 300 years ago—hung back, allowing their six Thrantas to intercede. Their fleet unleashed a seemingly unending cloud of starfighters and bombers, forcing the Ninth's own interceptors into a defensive role.

Undermoff Schack was calm as he observed the ships moving into position, ordering the Resurgence's mass shadow cannon to destroy one of the two Valors and offering them a 50/50 chance of likely wiping out Montevor.

RtYNlvJ.jpg

The opposing fleet focused on the Acheron, a Terminus-class destroyer, obliterating it under a staggering amount of turbolaser and torpedo fire. The Armageddon and Bastion were able to weather the barrage, with the Bastion suffering significant hull damage.

The Ninth destroyed two of the six Thranta heavy frigates with focused fire. Its interceptors tried to interdict the opposing 10 squadrons of bombers—a staggering 40 in number—which were all headed for the Resurgence, but the enemy starfighters vastly outnumbers the Empire's and picked off many with its 28 squadrons of Liberator-class starfighters while they were busy engaging the enemy bombers.

The Resurgence's super weapon destroyed one of the Valors—the Thunder Spirit—and also launched its boarding pods, half of which were shot down by Republic bombers that diverted from the Resurgence to the craft and the Crucible, the remaining Valor that presumably had Admiral Montevor on board.

The Ninth closed ranks, placing its ships perilously close to the enemy ships to offer a chance for the Vanguard to make for the Crucible's hangars without being shot down. While the Ninth's marines made for the Engine compartment, the Vanguard landed in two different hangars to divert the enemy attempts to repel boarders.

Aboard the Crucible
The Vanguard was split into two groups. The first was led by Lord Loretha Gurrik, the Lord-Captain of the Honor Guard with an accompanying Arcanum detachment led by Lord Gabronth. This group encountered a score of marines and battle droids and dispatched them, with Lord Gurrik and Lord Nyarran drawing most of their blaster fire. Fixer Seven, a.k.a. Khatos, sliced into a terminal to shut blast doors that would allow for reinforcements and also open one in the way of their teams that was sealed.

m8OSXT7.jpg

The second group was led by Lord Inquisitor Savannt and consisted of several agents. Justicar Zareh also led a detachment that included Senior Chief Petty Officer Khatib and other Imperial military personnel. They were also intercepted by marines and assault droids that they crushed with EMP grenades and a steady stream of blaster fire. Agent Caseion Ossid and Agent Ran Marris also sliced a terminal to pave the way to the bridge of the Crucible and seal other doors that would allow reinforcements to react. Someone had the idea to create false alarms throughout the ship to further confuse and slow the defenders.

5vYcj76.jpg

After encountering more defending marines, the two groups reformed at the turbolift leading to the bridge. Once they reached it, their turbolift chamber became a deathtrap as marines fired through the opening and elite Republic commandos even fired rockets through the choke point. At the far end of the bridge, Admiral Montevor stood composed, activating a deflector shield to protect himself as he observed his final defenses. The Vanguard suffered heavy casualties, with Sith, agent, and soldier alike falling to the unending barrage. Lord Nyarran used battle meditation—a rare and powerful Force power—to weaken the focus and aim of the enemy, and Sith began to advance from the turbolift chamber into the bridge, defeating the line of marines but suffering further casualties from the elite commandos, who were located much further inside the bridge along the flanks. The Vanguard used a combination of sniper fire, Sith magic, and Force ranged attacks to whittle the commandos down.

MXeoZQu.jpg

Montevor called for additional marines to come to the Bridge and as the last of his commandos fell, he sighed and ordered all of his remaining ships to fire on the Crucible, intent on taking the Sith down with him. Fixer Seven's quick thinking allowed him to slice into the Republic comms and inform the ships that Montevor was being mind controlled by the Sith and not to fire at his ship. Though this was eventually ignored, it bought them time to engage the admiral, especially after Ran Maris took down his deflector shield by slicing another terminal. Agent Caseion Ossid had also stopped the turbolift they had used from functioning, preventing defenders from using it to cut them off.

For a men without the Force, he survived surprisingly long, with several of the Vanguard having personal reasons to go at him with reckless abandon. A grievously wounded Kav'len was yelling that this was his end as he fired precision shots, forcing Montevor to activate a personal shield after dodging and using cortosis gloves to bat away a furious onslaught from two lightsabers wielded by Lord Gurrik. A steady stream of blaster fire and Force lightning assaulted the admiral's shield, and he even warded off mental attacks by the Sith. The ship shook as its own fleet fired on it, many on the bridge being knocked off of their feet. Kav'len yelled for the marines who had taken engineering to put full power to shields, another action that bought the boarding party time.

It was perhaps fitting that Skylarke was the one who ended Montevor, unleashing a furious stream of lightning and avenging her master Lord Malvious, who had been killed by Montevor wen transiting Dromund Kaas to Yavin IV on his personal shuttle. Loretha casually beheaded the admiral, and Cirn had even been dragged into the vicinity by Agent Nines, so that she could observe the end of this dangerous saga that had been playing out for months.

2eHmwxR.jpg

Undermoff Lysander Schack had been focusing all firepower of the Ninth Fleet on the remaining two Thrantas to slow them from taking out the Crucible, but he could do little to stop the Starquake, the Interdictor heavy cruiser remaining near the Crucible. Darth Valias yelled for them to get off the ship as fast as possible, but they needed little encouragement. Unfortunately, the marines in engineering reported that they had been pinned down by enemy marines before those had escaped in pods, but that the Ninth's marines were too far buried within the ship to escape. Kav'len told them their sacrifices would be remembered.

The Vanguard used the escape pods from the Bridge to escape the crumbling ship and were able to witness the remaining three Republic vessels, the last scraps of Montevor's once-feared fleet, withdraw into hyperspace.

Updated the original post to describe what we're seeking. We definitely hope to gain more Imperials, such as medical staff, soldiers, and agents, but recognize that these roles are rare in the community.

--We would like to expand beyond our two Agent mains, led by two Sith from Intelligence and Laws and Justice. We would welcome agents, smugglers, and Imperial military in this regard.

--We have a special operations team that fights alongside our Sith, but it is now entirely in need of mains. Soldiers and mercs, especially those with sniper or commando experience, would be ideal.

--We have med bay RP almost daily. Though we have two alt doctors, any doctor or combat medic mains, especially those interested in accompanying the combat teams, would be welcome!

--We have a Naval Captain, a Chief Petty Officer, and also a Petty Officer who both play in the afternoons. We'd like to build that up, especially if anyone wishes to play a Naval Commander or Lieutenant Commander, or anything below that. While we once had a handful of starfighter pilots, we're building from scratch now.

--We'll also take lords with a commanding persona and junior Sith.

Still recruiting, especially for the following:

  • Convincing Sith lords
  • Non-lord Sith
  • Doctor or combat medic
  • Naval officers
  • Agents
  • Soldiers

We had 3 Mandalorians join us recently, so that's a growing option. We also have several Europeans, enough for some RP in the late GMT evening times.
